Curious Expedition 2

Just feels like the devs are not really fond of this game. There are tons of little aspects that are so unbalanced that I feel like they didn't even play it. The stilted animation style negates any charisma the game might have earned. And ultimately, this is more or less a re-skin of the first game with a bunch of bells and whistles that don't really add anything to the gameplay.

Very interesting tropical island exploration game. Awesome theme. I like the procedurally generated islands, but you can go insane (literally) searching for rare resting spots, and some objectives are too vague. Dice based combat that's enjoyable. Absolutely built for the Steam Deck, great experience on there.

Curious Expedition 1 had better flowing gameplay, better art, better variety and had a better interface. For a sequel, it just seems like a pale imitation of the first with fewer options, fewer playable characters, and just plain less fun to play than the original. The music was better in the first too. CE2 is like if you asked an AI to remake CE1 I hope if you ever make a CE3, that you return to the roots in...
